Stella Atienza
I graduated from the Healing Arts Institute in 2004. Since then I've completed over 500 hours in advanced training modalities including Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue, Reflexology, Soft Tissue Release, Oncology Massage, Functional Bodywork, Shiatsu, and Seated Chair Masasge. In addition to classwork, I 've worked post-event massage crews for several marathons and half-marathons in the area. Last Summer, I worked with the massage crew for the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run and more recently I've been partnering with Fleet Feet Sacramento to provide post race massage at their events. I enjoy working with the novice runner/walker as well as the seasoned marathoner.
In addition to my massage training, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children and families, survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse and child abuse. I hope to blend my bodywork and clinical skills and work with people wanting to reconnect with their bodies in a safe and reassuring environment. I will be glad to work with you at your own comfort level and pace.
For fun, I enjoy golfing, riding my bike, yoga, weight training and kayaking. I'm also an avid sports fan - you may find me at the local sports bar watching the Kings or at the ballpark catching an A's or Rivercats game. I truely believe that if you entrust me to take care of you, I must do my best to take care of myself too - physically, mentally and emotionally.
Your Wellness is my number one priority. My practice is committed to providing you with exceptional service; treating you with dignity and respect; and to be a resource for your bodywork questions and needs. Choosing a massage therapist is a very personal and important decision and I am more than happy to provide you with referrals if I don't provide the services you are looking for.
Thank you for taking your time to check out my website. Please feel free to call or email if you have any questions or if would like to setup an appointment.
Peace,
Stella
